Technical Requirements
- ●Dimensions: Exactly 600 x 600 pixels (square)
- ●Format: JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg) only
- ●File size: Between 54 KB and 240 KB
- ●Color: 24-bit color depth (sRGB color space)
Composition Requirements
- ●Head height: 50% to 69% of total image height (300-414px)
- ●Eye line: Between 56% and 69% from the bottom of the photo
- ●Background: Plain white or off-white, no patterns or shadows
- ●Expression: Neutral expression, mouth closed
Appearance Rules
- ●Full face visible: Both eyes open, looking directly at the camera
- ●No glasses: Prescription or sunglasses are not allowed (since 2016)
- ●No head coverings: Except for religious reasons
- ●Recency: Photo must be taken within the last 6 months
Photo Quality
- ●Focus: Photo must be in sharp focus, not blurry
- ●Lighting: No shadows on face or background
- ●Skin tones: Natural colors, proper exposure
- ●No editing: No filters, no digital alterations to appearance
